Tempering Lines

Ensuring accurate glass processing with no defects, while meeting strict safety standards, is far from easy. Reliable tempering line quality control, whether automatic, semi-automatic, on the line or in a laboratory, makes it possible to certify the entire process from start to finish.

Tempering is one of the most critical stages in the processing of safety glass: an error in the thermal process can compromise the glass’s mechanical strength without the defect being visible to the naked eye, with potentially serious consequences if the product reaches the market without proper certification. For this reason, industry standards require specific checks, both inline during production and in the laboratory on periodically sampled units.

Deltamax supports this stage with two complementary systems: EVO detects surface and dimensional defects directly on the line, while FROG performs fragmentation testing to verify that tempered glass meets required safety standards, recognizing, counting and classifying fragments to certify compliance.
