From jumbo glass to finished IGUs: A fully integrated inspection ecosystem

From jumbo glass to finished IGUs: A fully integrated inspection ecosystem

Quality control starts before cutting.

At Deltamax, we believe the earlier a defect is detected, the greater the impact on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

That’s why one of our key innovations for 2026 is the new Glassinspector for jumbo glass sheets. After washing, jumbo sheets are automatically inspected for structural defects such as bubbles, inclusions, deep scratches, and coating defects, identifying issues that cannot be repaired before they enter the production process.

The detected defect map is then transferred directly to the cutting table, enabling optimized cutting strategies, reduced waste, and improved overall yield.

This new solution extends our vision of a fully integrated inspection ecosystem, supporting glass manufacturers throughout the entire production journey, from the jumbo sheet to the finished insulating glass unit. Together with Glassinspector, Q Plus, and IGU Scanner, it provides comprehensive quality control across every critical stage of production.

A great example is Wolf Fenster, which has implemented various inspection systems throughout its production line to identify any defects at the end of each stage of the process, improve efficiency and ensure the highest product quality.

✅ Early defect detection
✅ Reduced glass waste
✅ Optimized cutting performance
✅ End-to-end quality control
