Combining accuracy, reliability and flexibility, IGU Scanner detects the most common glass and process defects while verifying key quality parameters of the finished product, including spacer positioning, butyl presence along the edges, butyl contamination in the transparent area, and other critical quality aspects of the insulated glass unit.
These checks matter because even small inconsistencies in spacer alignment or butyl sealing can compromise the long-term performance of an insulating glass unit, affecting thermal insulation, moisture resistance and structural durability over time. Catching these issues automatically, rather than relying on visual inspection alone, allows manufacturers to address problems before units leave the production line, rather than facing costly returns or complaints after installation.
