It has been a few years since the release of the OPT prototype, our revolutionary solution designed for quality control on unwashed glass. This system allows the identification of structural defects early in the glass transformation process, with all the benefits that follow, especially thanks to the re-optimization of the cutting plan, which reduces the area of glass waste.
Following on our tradition of continuous innovation, we are proud to announce another step forward. Thanks to our collaboration with the Italian start-up AI4IV, the software of the OPT system now integrates AI models. The introduction of Neural Network Models, custom-built to enhance precision and reliability in defect detection and classification, represents a significant improvement toward even more accurate quality control. Trained on real images acquired by scanners installed at our customers’ facilities, these solutions can be integrated into existing systems through a simple software update.
